Eurovision Song Contest launches first-ever official Roblox experience to engage next generation of fans

08 May 2025

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and nine of our Member public broadcasters are excited to launch My Eurovision Party 2025 – the first official Eurovision Song Contest experience on Roblox.

Developed by immersive entertainment specialists Karta, My Eurovision Party 2025 is now live on the Roblox platform, where it offers fans a chance to fly the flag for a country and customise their own Eurovision watch parties.

During the live Eurovision broadcasts of the Semi-Finals on Tuesday 13 May and Thursday 15 May, and the Grand Final on Saturday 17 May, the game will become a second-screen companion with real-time updates, performance highlights and in-game celebrations.

Ahead of the live broadcasts, fans can also play an interactive game, collecting Eurohearts that trigger a rhythm minigame featuring a piece of that country’s Eurovision song. Completing the minigame earns leaderboard points and an in-game currency called Heartbeats to spend on creating a watch party.

The project – designed to appeal to existing ESC fans and attract new, young audiences into the Eurovision community – brings together the BBC (UK), DR (Denmark), France Télévisions, NPO/AVROTROS (Netherlands), RTÉ (Ireland), SRG SSR (Switzerland), SWR/NDR/ARD (Germany), VRT (Belgium) and Yle (Finland).

“This partnership opens a new chapter in the Eurovision Song Contest universe,” said Martin Green, Director of the Eurovision Song Contest. “We’re bringing the joyful spirit of the world’s largest live music event to a platform where millions of young people already connect, have fun and express themselves.”

Localized versions of the experience reflect each participating country’s culture, with bespoke presenter avatars, custom items and broadcaster branding – including portals to additional games from the EBU Member broadcasters.

Available until 30 May, the experience has been built with a robust safety framework, including friends-only chat, live moderation and ESG-compliant risk protocols developed in collaboration with Roblox and Karta.

With an average of more than 97 million daily active users*, Roblox is an immersive gaming and creation platform that offers people millions of ways to be together, inviting its community to explore, create and share endless unique experiences.

This collaboration marks a significant step in the EBU’s strategy to evolve the Eurovision brand in immersive, youth-oriented spaces, while maintaining its commitment to creativity, safety and diversity.
