93rd General Assembly

The 93rd EBU General Assembly (GA) was held on 5 and 6 December 2024 at the Millennium Conference Centre, Lausanne, in conjunction with the second edition of the AI Summit. The combined events welcomed over 460 participants from 96 organizations across 49 countries, featuring 43 speakers.
On the first day of the event, the Assembly elected a new Executive Board for the 2025–2026 mandate. The remainder of the day focused largely on governance matters. Other reports included the Report of the Executive Board, the DG report, with an outline of the EBU’s 2025 strategic objectives, the budget and financial matters, and a revision of the Bye-Laws and EBU Committee Terms of Reference. The Assembly also voted on the Admission of ARTE as an International Member.
Additionally, a presentation of the newly launched advocacy initiative known as PSM Compass followed by a panel discussion was moderated by the EBU Director of Member Relations and Communications.
Day 2 featured the AI Summit, exploring the transformative impact of AI in public service media, with the morning open to all EBU members. GA delegates were encouraged to participate in the full day’s insights beyond the official GA closure at midday.
