International Relations Group

The International Relations Group brings together international relations professionals to collaborate, exchange knowledge and strengthen communication across the EBU network. The group's mission is to support public service media by fostering partnerships and exchanges, promoting best practices and supporting advocacy efforts.

The IRG organizes an annual plenary open to all EBU Members and meets 2 to 3 times a year, in-person and online.

Key Areas of Focus of the International Relations Community

• Collaboration and networking – to bring together professionals from corporate, TV, radio, and digital channels to share knowledge and expertise and develop joint initiatives that strengthen international cooperation.
• Content exchange – to facilitate and expand opportunities for content sharing in television, radio, and digital platforms.
• Engagement and communication – To promote continuous dialogue between EBU and its Members, ensuring effective information flow and knowledge sharing. To act as EBU ambassadors within their organisations. 
• Advocacy and policy support – To support advocacy efforts and promote policies that safeguard media freedom, independence, and the long-term sustainability of public service media.
