The TV Committee governs and oversees the activities of the EBU’s TV Unit, including sub-groups active in the following areas:
Key areas of activity include:
- Strategic support: Identify and facilitate knowledge exchange around key strategic topics of interest to the TV communities.
- Co-Production: foster and facilitate content collaboration among members, including delivery of fora for members to seek inspiration from each other's content, and convene collective commissioning and acquisitions opportunities.
The TV Committee collaborates closely with the Digital Committee, and the two committees together cover the full audio-visual viewing experience: the TV Committee focusing on what the viewer watches (content strategy) and the Digital Committee focusing on how the viewer watches (distribution strategy).
The election for the 2025-2027 Committee took place on 4 June, during the Media Summit.
