International Broadcasting Assembly

The International Broadcasting Assembly brings together a community of EBU Members that offer services to international audiences. It provides a platform to address common challenges, share expertise and identify areas of joint initiatives and mutual support.

Hosted by

The 10th International Broadcasters Assembly will be held in person on 22 and 23 October at the Teatro Mediterraneo, Mostra d'Oltremare, in Naples, Italy. It is kindly hosted by Rai, in connection with Prix Italia and the EBU News Assembly.

Elections

This year, the Assembly will elect the members of the International Broadcasting Committee for the 2025-2027 mandate. Voting will take place on the first day of the Assembly, Wednesday 22 October. 

At-a-glance:

  • You can submit your candidacy by filling in this form and by sending supporting materials via email to campbella@ebu.ch and ryan@ebu.ch.
  • Supporting materials:
    • a headshot
    • a letter of support/endorsement from the senior management of your organisation
    • CV 
    • 1 page and/or a short video expressing your motivation
  • Voting will be in-person only, following the EBU Voting and election By-Laws and International Broadcasting Assembly Terms of Reference.
  • There will be 2 separate elections: Chair, and election of the remaining 8 members of the committee. You can apply to be a candidate for multiple positions.  

Candidates must announce their intention to stand by the deadline of 12 September at 18:00 CET.

Additionally, candidates must have sufficient time to carry out their duties on the International Broadcasting Committee, and the resources to cover travel costs for in-person meetings and all other relevant meetings related to their position on the International Broadcasting Committee. There are in principle five International Broadcasting Committee meetings per year, primarily online.
