Hynek Chudárek has been appointed as Director General of Czech Television (ČT)

On Wednesday, 25 June 2025, the Czech Television Council elected Hynek Chudárek as the new Director General of Czech Television (ČT). He will officially assume the role on 1 July 2025 and serve a six-year term.

Hynek has previously served as ČT’s Executive Director of Commerce since 2012. Prior to joining ČT, he was the Executive Director of the music television channel Óčko, which he helped establish in 2002.

In his statement, Hynek highlighted his commitment to fostering an open and creative environment within the organization.
