How to best use automated Quality Control (QC) systems in your production facility? That was the main topic addressed in the EBU's QC work. As manual QC is simply not adequate anymore and it does not scale, broadcasters have to decide how to apply automation in this area.
Free workshop
On 21 and 22 June 2011, the EBU held a free Workshop at its headquarters in Geneva (CH) to share experiences from broadcasters and information on solutions provided by manufacturers. The event focused on three typical situations in which QC is relevant:
1. Ingest
2. Legacy archive transfer
3. Final programme delivery.
The Workshop also provided a draft list of requirements on QC systems.
