QC Implementers Group Launch

EBU QC has been around for a while now and forms the basis for a number of QC testing definitions including the DPP AS-11 specification, but most QC exchange happens using PDFs.

Interoperability

The QC Implementers (QCi) group is breaking that model and using the EBU QC definitions and data model to create interoperable, machine-readable reports which can be used in tools from different manufacturers. The group is working to carry that data alongside the content throughout its lifecycle, adding to it so that you don’t have to QC content every time it changes hands.

The work is carried out with content owners, distributors and manufacturers to ensure that it meets the needs of the industry.

In this webinar Laurence Stoll (Marquise), Fereidoon Khosravi (Venera), Andrew Dunne (BBC) and others discussed the work happening in the new EBU QC Implementation Group (QCi for short), and how to join in.
