This is the final edition of a series of monthly webinars on the veraAI project's innovative research on AI-based fact-checking tools.
Join us on 3 September at 11:00 Geneva time to hear from Anna Schild from DW Innovation and Lalya Gaye from EBU Technology & Innovation, about the crucial involvement of end-users in the process of designing trustworthy AI-based fact-checking services.
The veraAI project set off in 2022 to build trustworthy AI solutions against advanced disinformation techniques which would co-created with and for media professionals. Three years later and with the project soon approaching its end, this seminar will look back on how the project iteratively worked together with verification professionals, fact-checkers and media researchers. It will present the key takeaways for designing AI-based fact-checking services as drawn from the project, by outlining the process of determining user needs through a series of participatory design sessions, of guiding technical development based on the resulting requirements, and of evaluating the evolving tools together with end-users.
This webinar, which targets anyone interested in the participatory aspects of designing AI-based fact-checking tools, is open to EBU Members and Associates, as well as other media professionals. Only registrants with company emails will be admitted (no Gmail please). Please register in advance.
The veraAI project is co-financed by the European Union, Horizon Europe programme, Grant Agreement No 101070093, with additional funding from Innovate UK grant No 10039055 and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) under contract No 22.00245.
